Attorneys Jonathan Torrens, Daniel DeSouza and Lourdes Ferrer to
Practice in Ft. Lauderdale Office

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL, August 24, 2010– Becker & Poliakoff, a diversified commercial law firm with more than 125 attorneys in 13 Florida offices, New York City, New Jersey, Nassau (Bahamas) and Prague, today announced the addition of three new attorneys in its Litigation Practice Group. Attorneys Jonathan Torrens, Daniel DeSouza and Lourdes Ferrer will be practicing in the firm's Ft. Lauderdale office.

Daniel DeSouza has significant experience representing clients in all aspects of complex,civil litigation arising in courts in Florida and throughout the United States. He has successfully represented clients in the areas of breach of contract, employment, director and officer liability, and tort litigation. He previously practiced at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy in Washington, D.C. Mr. DeSouza is a graduate of the George Washington University School of Law.

Lourdes Ferrer is the supervising attorney for the Ft. Lauderdale office's high volume assessment collection and foreclosure department. She focuses her practice on community association litigation, debt collection, employment and contract disputes. She previously practiced at Conroy, Simberg, Ganon, Krevans, Abel, Lurvey, Morrow & Schefer, P.A. in Hollywood, Florida. Ms. Ferrer is a graduate of St. Thomas University School of Law.
