BECKER & POLIAKOFF COMMERCIAL LITIGATION ATTORNEY GARY C. ROSEN APPOINTED TO FLORIDA COMMITTEE ON STANDARD JURY INSTRUCTIONS

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL, December 16, 2009 – Becker & Poliakoff, P.A., a diversified commercial law firm with more than 130 attorneys in 13 Florida offices, New York City, New Jersey, Nassau, Bahamas, Prague and affiliated international offices, today announced that Gary C. Rosen, a board certified business litigation attorney and chair of Becker & Poliakoff's Commercial Litigation Practice Group, was appointed by the Florida Supreme Court to the Committee on Standard Jury Instructions - Contract and Business Cases.

The Committee on Standard Jury Instructions was established by the Supreme Court for the study, development and publication of a program for standard jury instructions. Mr. Rosen will contribute to developing a series of standard instructions for use in jury trials of commercial cases in Florida courts.

Mr. Rosen, who joined Becker & Poliakoff in 1982, is a Board Certified Business Litigation attorney who concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation in state and federal courts throughout Florida and the United States. .

Mr. Rosen is a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America , an invitation-only, trial lawyer honorary society comprised of the most experienced and effective litigators throughout the United States. Membership is limited to less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers.  Florida Trend magazine recognized Mr. Rosen among its "Legal Elite" in the area of Business Litigation. This designation was based upon a poll of Florida attorneys who selected peers in the top 2% of their respective practice areas.

Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1980, Mr. Rosen holds a B.A. degree from Brandeis University and was awarded a J.D. degree from Catholic University.
