Professional Experience
Brian Miles is a member of the Community Association Practice Group where he represents condominium, homeowner and timeshare associations. He advises clients on all aspects of community association operations including, but not limited to, covenant enforcement; insurance, maintenance, repair and replacement responsibilities; document amendment and interpretation; recall disputes; fair housing issues, and various fiscal matters, such as budgeting, collections and foreclosures. Mr. Miles has experience in real estate sales and purchases, as well as landlord-tenant concerns impacting associations. He teaches the board member certification course required by the Florida Condominium Act.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Miles served as an active duty Army officer where his jobs included fire support officer, detachment commander, media relations officer, and brigade operations officer. He was honorably discharged in 2003, and remains involved in veterans' causes.
Activities & Memberships
Mr. Miles is a member the Florida Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. He serves as Vice President of the West Point Society of Naples, a not-for-profit organization responsible for admissions recruiting to the U.S. Military Academy, and for active duty outreach initiatives in Southwest Florida. Mr. Miles is a licensed real estate sales associate and participates in various community associations’ trade organizations.
