Professional Experience
Jason Herman is an attorney in the Business Litigation Practice Group He is an experienced trial lawyer with 80+ Civil and Criminal Jury Trials. He focuses his practice on general liability matters, complex commercial cases, lawsuits involving toxic torts and pharmaceutical product claims, product liability cases, catastrophic risk matters and other types of insurance coverage cases. Throughout his career, Mr. Herman has represented some of the largest companies and manufacturers in the U.S. In doing so, he has handled every aspect of the litigation process from advanced motion practice to jury trial and all the way through to appeal. Mr. Herman has lectured and been published on litigation skills, trial techniques and current topics in technology in the legal profession.
Significant Cases
Mr. Herman has:
- Defended a large diet drug manufacturer in a product liability case filed in federal court where nationwide and statewide class certification was sought. After a full evidentiary hearing, the Court denied certification.
- Secured a million dollar plus award on a counterclaim in a commercial case where client was sued for breach of contract. Court granted a directed verdict against Plaintiff after their case in chief.
- Defended a large homeowners association in a case where plaintiff suffered a brain injury resulting in favorable settlement for the client.
- Successfully defended a corporation client being sued in a complex multi million dollar commercial lease transaction.
- Defended multiple property management companies and community associations in negligent security claims.
