Professional Experience
Lisa Castellano is an experienced commercial litigator in the firm’s Tampa Bay office located in Clearwater, Florida. Ms. Castellano has been practicing law in the Tampa Bay area for over 20 years. She has extensive experience in the areas of commercial and residential foreclosures and other real estate related matters, lender liability claims, bankruptcy, community association litigation, contract disputes and other creditors rights and complex commercial related matters. Her trial experience includes cases in state, federal and bankruptcy courts throughout the State of Florida.
Ms. Castellano devotes a substantial portion of her time to the representation of creditors in a variety of bankruptcy and reorganization cases throughout Florida. She represents lenders and other creditors on claims ranging from small amounts to multi million dollar sums, which include the prosecution of actions for relief from the automatic stay, turnover of property of the estate, and matters dealing with executory contracts. She has also successfully defended preference litigation actions through trial, and represented Chapter 7 Trustees. Her experience in bankruptcy also includes representation of both condominium and homeowner’s associations in the enforcement of their claims and liens.
Ms. Castellano’s clients have included national, state and local financial institutions, mortgage servicers, bankruptcy trustees, community associations, multi-national corporations, governmental entities, businesses and individuals.
Activities & Memberships
As an active member of the community, Ms. Castellano is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association and a the Florida Bar Real Property and Probate Section. Ms. Castellano is also a licensed real estate sales associate in the State of Florida.
